Paper craft project no. 437: Follow your bliss one layer card

This month, the STAMPlorations girls in the Inspiration team are CASEing my card for CASEplorations. Maria picked a one layer mixed media Mother's day card I made two years ago to CASE. Here it is:

The card's on my old blog and I used two of my favorite techniques: watercoloring and stenciling. I haven't thought about CASEing myself or CASEd any of my cards before so this is a first. (Thanks, Maria!).

Anyway, I stuck with the floral theme (I used the Bloom Factory stencil and Bloom Factory stamp set), colors (pink and yellow using spun sugar and mustard seed Distress inks), techniques (watercoloring but this time with Distress inks instead of Gelatos and Inktense block, and stenciling but this time using the stencil for the monoprint technique), layout, and subway art sentiment (Typografia). I would've added some splatters, but I was working on a space that was literally the size of my card on my craft table that I didn't want the splatters to get on the rest of my mess. Still a graphic card -- an encouragement card instead of a Mother's day card.

Do check out how the STAMPlorations girls CASEd my card in this month's CASEplorations post. Then why not try CASEing my card and linking up? CASEplorations is open until the end of May. Gift certificates await the best CASEs, plus I'll randomly pick one CASEplorations player to receive some goodies from me, including the encouragement card I made :o)

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to smile :o)

PS: There's still time to join our April Stamp Release blog hop for a chance to win one of many prizes, including the ENTIRE release! Comment by Tuesday, May 3. The hop starts here.
